To start off, I am truly surprised how much information I have learned and even processed in these past few weeks. For example, Dr. Isbell’s presentation I learned about Wikipedia. I’ve always kind of known that you could edit wiki but I never really know how and then I learned that it was really simple. I know I want to create a timeline some how…[Read more]

I have always had a general idea of what podcasting was but I did not know the full extent of the components behind it all until after this presentation. I also never thought about using a podcasting to explain a senior thesis which was really coo. I would love to try performing a podcast but academically I do not know what I would talk about. I…[Read more]

I found Omeka and Neatline were really interesting to use. Neatline more specifically made me think of a lot of ideas because you often don’t see an interactive map in projects. An individual project I thought of was mapping where every Super Bowl has been played because I love football. It would be interesting to know if airplanes would ever…[Read more]

What stuck out to me most was Dr. Hutchinson’s presentation style. Even though there was only about four of us in class he presented as if he was talking to one hundred people. While I do not consider myself all that musically inclined I was really interested in Brian Foo’s comparison of location and household income in New York and using trains…[Read more]

I thought this presentation was really neat as it connects with my major. From a business perspective, it is always interesting to see where your drops are and your increases. I was also really intrigued when I found out there…[Read more]

Tour Creator and StoryMap really stuck out to me as they were a simple and very fun to use, they could also make a presentation a lot more interesting when discussing a location as you can build you own map with custom text or even go right to a particular street you were thinking about (most of the time).
