How Does DH Lab Work?

The digital humanities lab is a different sort of lab than you might have experienced before. It is a 1-credit course that is designed to help students discover tools and techniques that they can apply to any discipline they are exploring at the university (everything from Forensic Science to Biology, Psychology to Engineering). During the first half of the course, faculty members will give interactive presentations on projects they have undertaken with students at the university. Each student will then select one faculty member to work with individually for the second half of the semester. Individual meetings with this faculty member will help the student devise a project to be pursued in the future and/or develop a “DH-ified” project for a course they are enrolled in during the current semester.
