Head Over Heels runs at the University of New Haven from November 10-13, 2021. But like the citizens of Arcadia, it has had many stops on its journey.
Oregon Shakespeare Festival
- Ran from June 3, 2015 – October 10, 2015
- Book writer was Jeff Whitty
- Directed by Ed Sylvanus Iskander
- This version of the show was closer to Arcadia
- Included the character of Philanax as “The Duke’s Fool,” though in Arcadia he is Basilius’s trusted friend and likely one of his advisors. The show used Philanax as a framing tool and narrator
- “The Oracle” is a woman and has no personal relationship to the other characters
San Francisco: The Curran Theatre
- Ran from April 10, 2018 – May 6, 2018
- Book writer changes to James Magruder
- Director changes to Michael Mayer
- The script is overhauled and, while it strays further from Arcadia, it becomes the show as it opened on Broadway
- Eliminates Philanax and his framing of the show
- The Oracle becomes Pythio
Broadway: The Hudson Theatre
- Ran June 23, 2018 – January 6, 2019
- Received mixed reviews by critics but developed a devoted fan following
