Description

The 1916 New York polio epidemic is presented within a historical context to introduce public health approaches to infectious diseases. The case study aims to encourage critical thinking and provides an opportunity to discuss the ethics of public health interventions during epidemics. The site is a result of collaboration between faculty and students.
