2. You\u2019ll find two main areas. The major portion of the page (where all the avatars are), and the submenu just above them where you can accept Member Requests, Invite New Members, Email Members, or change Your Email Options. We\u2019ll deal with each of these below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Here you will see all the members of your site, arranged by current role. You can change a member\u2019s role (see more details in the section below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. You can also change the email settings for any member of the course or project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are two places to manage member roles and capabilities on your course or project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you make changes in Home<\/strong> > Settings<\/strong> > Membership<\/strong> these changes will affect roles on your site as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Home and Site roles map as follows: Admin \u2013> Site Admin, Mod \u2013> Site Editor, Regular Member \u2013> Site Author. Banning or Removing a member removes them from the site as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can also change roles on the Site Dashboard that will not affect roles on the Home. For example, you could change a member\u2019s role on the site from author to editor. For instructions on how to manage roles on your site, please visit our page Managing Users on your Site.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. To accept (or reject) Member Requests, simply click Member Requests<\/strong>, then click Accept<\/strong> or Reject<\/strong> next to the requesting member\u2019s avatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. To invite new members, click Invite New Members<\/strong>. From there you\u2019ll see two options for inviting OpenLab members to join your course or project you can type their name directly into the search bar, or you can look for them in the drop down menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Once you\u2019ve found them, click Send Invite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. To email members, click\u00a0Email Members<\/strong>. From there you\u2019ll be taken to the page below, where you can fill out the subject, type the email, and then click\u00a0Email this notice to everyone in the group<\/strong>. As you can see, this is only if you want to send an email to every member of the group. To email members individually, you\u2019ll want to visit their profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Clicking Your Email Options<\/strong> changes only how you yourself receive emails related to the course or project.
