This is known as \u201cshared cloning\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"createnewcourse\">Option 1: Create a New Course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a new tab, navigate to My Profile &gt; My Course Courses and click on the&nbsp;<strong>+ Create\/Clone<\/strong>&nbsp;link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the step-by-step process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For help creating a new OpenLab Course, follow the Help documentation for <a href=\"https:\/\/unewhavendh.org\/openlab-help\/create-a-course\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"178\">Creating a Course<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cloneowncourse\">Option 2: Clone Your Own Course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re teaching&nbsp;<strong>multiple sections<\/strong>&nbsp;of the same course, you can create a course, build it out with your course materials for the first section, and then clone it to use with the other sections or in the following semesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-4ade0cd4-8d71-479b-adeb-5d19a09300d9\">\n<li>From My OpenLab &gt; My Courses, click on the&nbsp;<strong>+ Create\/Clone<\/strong>&nbsp;link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose the course you\u2019d like to clone from the list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the step-by-step process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For help cloning your course, follow the Help documentation for <a href=\"https:\/\/unewhavendh.org\/openlab-help\/clone-a-course\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/unewhavendh.org\/openlab-help\/2022\/04\/30\/clone-a-course\/\">Cloning a Course<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"clonemodelcourse\">Option 3: Clone Course that is Clonable<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also clone courses shared by other faculty members, also known as \u201cshared cloning.\u201d A colleague in your discipline may have a great course on the OpenLab. You can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unewhavendh.org\/openlab-help\/what-are-courses-projects-and-portfolios\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"121\">search for clonable courses<\/a>\u00a0on the <a href=\"http:\/\/unewhavendh.org\/groups\/type\/course\/\">Courses directory<\/a> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the Course Profile of the course you would like to clone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the button labeled&nbsp;\u201c<strong>Clone this Course<\/strong>\u201d&nbsp;beneath the avatar on the Course Profile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the step-by-step process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are three easy ways to create a course on the OpenLab!
