I usually really like tedious and repetitive work, but I don’t think I would like typesetting so much. It has a level of mundanity that I wouldn’t find rewarding or enjoyable. Searching for a very specific font is frustrating because so many fonts look very similar but at the same time very different. Structuring a single page is also boring to me because you don’t have too much room to be creative. You have a rectangle of space with a block of text. I’m much more interested in the writing itself and the content of stories. I have far more curiosity there as opposed to typesetting. The only situation where I can see myself getting into typesetting is with more poetically-structured spacing and stanzas. Or maybe some artistic edition of a book where there are very fancy and diverse fonts or graphics.
